We decided that the boys should nap for a couple of hours so that they could be out and about and get a good night's sleep tonight... Grandma and Poppa tok a long walk and then took a brief nap, too. However, I hadn't considered the effort it would take to wake them up after our nap. At the 4 hour mark, I started by knocking on their door...after a few minutes of expecting their neighbors to report me to the authorities, I asked for a key to their room...have you ever tried to awaken a rock?? I just had that experience. After multiple tries, threatening to pour cold water on them, and explaining why going out in the sunshine would help to avoid jet lag ( not an effective strategy), they finally moved, gathered their stuff and met us in the lobby!
We walked in the direction of our earlier walk along the coast and past some antiquities.
Then went down to the beach area, chatted with a couple on a Princess cruise with whom we exchanged photio taking
Fort designed by Michelangelo
We had our first Pizzas at a lovely outdoor restaurant and stopped for Gelato. All agreed that elevating our blood sugar and the walk worked wonders.

We all agreed that early to bed in air conditioned rooms and a good night's sleep would be the best beginning to our cruise days.
Love your blog and photos.. have a wonderful cruise xxx
