So....we leave on June 23 with Max and Nicholas on Max's graduation trip. He chose a cruise out of Civitavecchia (the port city for Rome, Italy). We are sailing on Royal Caribbean's Allure of the Seas for one week on the Mediterranean Sea. This is our first experience on one of RCCL's megaships....should be lots of fun for the boys. As always, we are sailing with the high school graduate and his cousin. They will both be experiencing Europe for the first time.
We are flying into Rome via JFK, arriving early in the morning and going directly to Civitavecchia. Our hotel is a small one close to the entrance to the Port.
We will be able to walk into the town and experience a small Italian city. And we heard that the Pizza (WHAT ELSE) IS VERY GOOD! The hotel is 100 meters from a free shuttle bus to the ship....a good beginning to a fabulous vacation with Max and Nick.
